What’s the difference between a Wurlitzer 200 and 200A?

The difference between these two Wurlitzers is that the 200A is a newer model designed to solve some of the electronic issues that were present in the 200. The Model 200s were prone to crackling and noise in the electronics, and a new preamp system was implemented in the newer 200A design along the reed bar to counteract this. Along with this are a newer set of speakers that are mounted to the lid rather than the amp rail which have a slightly different tone. People argue the 200 has a warmer, darker sound compared to the slightly brighter clearer tone of the 200A. Neither is better, and the differences are subtle. The action, dampers, and keys all are exactly the same. You can tell the difference by seeing if there are flower-head screws on the lid around the speaker. (The 200A has the screws).
